Old Hat
The last few weeks' temperatures have played chicken with being too frigid to leave the house, and though I'm not afraid of some cold temperatures, it's hard to want to dress like it's in the deep Winter when it's still Fall. So, I'm trying to keep the Fall vibes in the Winter looks without sacrificing warmth. That's what cold weather fashion is--it's looking put together and good without freezing.
I'm sad that it's about time to retire this skirt for another year. It's such a beautiful burnt orange but it's not very winter-like. Plus, it's faux-suede and I imagine any form of moisture (aka snow) will ruin it. So, with sadness, I will hang this in my closet and long to wear it again.
I was recently DM'd on Instagram and someone said I looked like a "Southwest Jedi" and, okay? I think it's my attraction to flowy shawls and whatnot, but I kind of dig that?
