3 or 4 years ago, this would have been all that I wore. Faux leather jacket, blouse, mini skirt, tights, boots. Done and done. Not that my style is all that different now--swap mini skirt with a longer hemline and there you have modern-day Katie--but it's still a trip. I feel like I look like a bully at an all girl's school in a movie made in the 90s. Specific but accurate!


I recently thrifted this plaid mini skirt and though the tag is cut out (why do places do this?!) I believe it's originally from Forever 21. It has that feeling...you know what I'm talking about. But, I got it for $5 so I can deal with the lack of quality when it's secondhand at that price. I paired the skirt with an old Peter Pan collar blouse with a neck scarf loosely tied around my neck, and a faux leather jacket. I really love the not-so-quite French, but French inspired feel, mixed with 90s throwback with the skirt and styling of it. It's cute!
