Thrifted Hat
It kind of looks like Indianapolis forgot that Christmas was two weeks ago. I love the Circle of Lights installment that happens on the Circle in Downtown Indianapolis, but, I wasn't expecting 10 feet tall candy canes and Nutcrackers to still be guarding the monument. But hey, talk about an interesting backdrop, even if it is two weeks late.
It's layering season and though Winter is decidedly not Winterlike right now, I still like to layer up. I love this ruffly layered sleeve blouse, so I added a sleeveless swing dress over it, and added a skirt over it to define my waist. I then belted with two belts, because two are better than one (and also because I saw someone on Pinterest do it and I had to replicate it), and donned a hat because whats the point of layering without adding a hat? There is no point, trick question!
2019 is the year Katie will buy more belts. It's been a long long long time since I've bought some belts and I am definitely in need of some more and differing belts. Long gone are the slender and tiny belts of yesteryear--I'm looking for interesting and outfit uplifting belts to both cinch me in and to also add some of that sweet sweet visual interest in the mid-section. The problem is, where do I look?
