Happy Memorial Day weekend!
Old Sunhat
It's already late May, how is that possible? How is it already May, let alone the end of it? It's blowing my mind that we're almost half way through the year, but, it's making me slow down and savor the moments this year.
It's hot, guys. Wow, hot in late Spring, who would have known? Sarcasm aside, this past Tuesday, I had to wear a trench coat because it was 55 outside. So, this humid 87 is a slight departure from the humid 55 we had. All the rain we've had has really made the trees and greenery flourish. I live surrounded by woods, and it is so green it's blinding. It's beyond gorgeous.
Since it's hotter than normal day, light layers and sun protection is a must. I could write a novel about my love and appreciation for sunscreen as a chronic sunburn receiver, but I'll keep it short: wear sunscreen! It's seriously life changing and life saving. After applying sunscreen, I threw on an off the shoulder blouse and my favorite skirt my mother made years ago. A sunhat, a large braided belt and some coordinated booties finish off this light and breezy late May outfit. I kept things minimal to ensure the loud skirt was not competed with and it's just a great outfit for summer hangs.
Stay safe and enjoy your holiday weekend!
