This is such a low effort outfit for me that yields a high reward. Let me explain:
This outfit it as basic as a top+skirt=outfit formula. But, where it yields a high reward is with the look of the top and skirt. The top is not a basic white tee or a button down, it's a white blouse with sheer sleeves and low scoop neck that makes it more visually interesting. The skirt is not a basic pink a-line, or a pleated midi, that I gravitate towards. It's more casual, it's a button down skirt so, again, it's more visually interesting than other options. And, then, going for a brown to ground the outfit instead of black makes it a light and bright outfit.

The goal of an outfit is to make it interesting and I'm all about finding ways to make basic outfits feel elevated without looking like I tried too hard.
