It's November, and here in the US (and also Canada, though their Thanksgiving is in October), we like to celebrate a little holiday called Thanksgiving. But, when you live somewhere full of transplants, or when your friends are your family, we do a Friendsgiving. It's the same sort of gettogether, but it lacks the judgmental and obligated-to-be-invited family members and you don't have to sit at the kid's table. Well, I mean, you could if you want to.

It's Cold Outside - November is a toss up with weather, and it's either warmer than normal or bitter cold. This is themed for the latter. The cape is dramatic, the stripes are classic, and the little skirt is so cute when combined with the other items. You're warm, you're layered, and you can take off the cape and it's still a cute little outfit.

Pink is a Fall Color - I've said it once and I'll say it again: Pink is a four season color, meaning it looks good in all of the seasons, Fall included. This pastel pink peter pan collared blouse is just asking for a stain, but of course, you're wearing this when you know you're not going to spill a single drop of anything on you. And, you know, you carry a Tide pen with you everywhere anyway.

Comfortable for Carbs - Friendsgiving and the Holidays in general are full of delicious carby foods, and you know what, we deserve the deliciousness! Elastic waists like the one on this skirt aren't going to get a second look, but, this golden yellow one may catch some eyes as it's beautiful and fitting in color for Friendsgiving.
